Knight Essay and Rumbaugh Oration Contest

Chapter-level judging for the Joseph S. Rumbaugh Historical Oration Contest and the George S. and Stella M. Knight Essay Contest. High school students present prepared orations on a person or event of the Revolutionary period; essays are judged separately. Winners advance to the state competition. Families and the public are welcome to attend the oration round, which begins at 10:00 am.
